I have had many cupcake flavors and my favorites are the red velvet the leomon and the chocolate, try a cake pop melt in your mouth. they also do wedding cakes and every day cakes special orders and more. Not feeling any sweets then order some food the portobello mushroom sandwich had some amazing flavor with pesto sauce on a roll with greens it comes with a side of pasta and a peice of cake. cake was moist buttercream chocolate topping wanted me wishing i had more..

i had heard about them from facebook  a quick check of their facebook page got me hooked right away the photos of the cupcakes looked amazing as well as the different flavors they have. today i was in the area and decided to check them out and see what tasty treats they had. Each day they have different flavors. each flavor is listed on the wall on long wood slats, they have everything from vegan, regular cupcakes and weight watchers approved cupcakes.  some of the flavors they had today were irish car bomb, twix, spumoni. tiramisu, death by chocolate fun fetti and a bunch of other flavors. i decided to purchase 3 flavors of cupcakes i went with the twix, tiramisu and death by chocolate. the cupcakes were all the same size and huge.  the cupcakes were on the pricey side but well worth it the cupcakes ran about 4 something each they do not have special prices for buying more than one cupcakes its the same price for each one

Frosting Ink located on 1818 G street in Bakersfield California- they were on cupcake wars and made some amazing cupcakes. a recent visit to california and being in the area i stoped in to get some cupcakes

I stooped in at the calloway drive location  it was a really cool looking place it had retro looking designs as well as modern designs they serve ice cream, and are famous for the ice cream floats, and taffy chews. I went in and picked out a box of chews, they have many flavor options to choose from. you can mix and match flavors they come in various sizes and pounds.. my box of candy lasted in the January heat and cold for 9 days and made it back to Connecticut without even melting. they ship their candy world wide so cant make a trip to Bakersfield you can have some candy shipped right to your home http://www.dewarscandy.com

i stooped in at the Valencia town center location and ordered the chocolate marshmallow the cake was moist and flavorful filled with marshmallow cream and dipped in a chocolate ganache the ganache was flavorful and melt in your mouth. they have other flavors  to choose from including everyday cupcakes and specials

Dc cupcakes is famous for their signature swirl cupcake they started out as two sisters who quit their corporate jobs to focus on baking  something they did growing up with their Grandmother and Mother. they have daily flavors as well as seasonal flavors and every day flavors. they started out in Bethesda Md then opened a location in DC followed by NYC Soho and Times Square Cafe as well as Boston Newbery street. there cupcakes are moist and flavorful and have just the right amount of sweetness and balance. the toppings and fillings never overpower each other. they use a whipped buttercream and cream cheese frosting on their cupcakes. they have flavors such as chocolate birthday to complex flavors such as earl grey tea and cherry blossom and a whole lot more to choose from. they ship worldwide and do daily trivia on there facebook page where they randomly choose a winner who will receive a free dozen cupcakes..

Newport Beach CA

 balboa pier a small Pier in Newport beach they have boat rentals ferry across to the island, food stands games and shops.. there is a small truck that sells food but are famous for the frozen dipped cheese cake and chocolate covered bananas. not feeling either you can get  dipped ice cream sandwich or some soft serve in a waffle cone or regular cone.. 

the cheesecake is frozen slightly  on a stick dipped in rich dark chocolate and topped with crushed nuts or sprinkles the same goes for the banana. the cheesecake was amazing i did not think i would like the chocolate and frozen cheesecake together but it works,

visit the balboa candy company at the Pier for some old fashioned candy as well as current favorites this place is family owned and operated they carry a wide variety of chocolate candies and taffy.

Hello and welcome to my cupcake blog here you will find anything and everything related to cupcakes. there will be lots of local cupcake places in Connecticut that i will be blogging about . as well as local cupcake supply stores and internet places were you can find anything and everything related to cupcakes and baking,

My love of cupcakes started when i was 8 years old I remember for my 8th birthday my mom  bought me those entenmann's  cupcakes i think they came in a 6 pack and you got chocolate and vanilla, chocolate was my favorite i am not even sure they make them anymore. back then cupcakes were not something you would commonly find in a bakery. the grocery store was the place to get a cupcake they came in chocolate or vanilla flavored they had colored frostings and plastic decorations depending on the time of year or holiday, you got them in regular or min size. now cupcake bakeries are all over the place they range from the very simple cupcakes to the very intricate flavors.

a few years ago i started up a facebook page www.facebook.com/cakepops1 i call my business sweet somethings. i specialize in cake pops cupcakes and candy buffets i don't have a store front but hope to someday. this is something i do in my spare time its my hobby i get calls every so often from people who want me to make cake pops or cupcakes for parties, and i love to spend hours in the kitchen baking and making lots of tasty treats.
